The International Woodwind Competition is devoted to Anton Eberst, the founder of Novi Sad’sschool of woodwind instruments.
The Fourth International Anton Eberst Competition for Flute, organized by Isidor Bajić Music School and Music Youth of Novi Sad, took place at Isidor Bajić Music School from November 24-27, 2011.
67 flautists from 17 countries, including Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Switzerland, Latvia, Holland, France and Korea, took part in the Competition.
The Jury of the Fourth International Anton Eberst Competition was comprised of esteemed performers and flute pedagogues such as János Bálint (Hungary), Norbert Girlinger (Austria), Kersten McCall (Holland), Nataša Marić (Germany), Matej Zupan (Slovenia), Ljubiša Jovanović (Serbia), Laura Levai Aksin (Serbia) and Radmila Rakin Martinović (Serbia).
The Fourth International Anton Eberst Competition was opened by the recital of Livie Dulebe (Hungary), the winner of the First Prize in the highest competition category at the Second Anton Eberst Competition, held in 2009.
The closing concert of the prize winnners and the prize-awarding ceremony of the Fourth International Anton Eberst Competition took place on November 27, 2011 at the Isidor Bajić Music School Concert Hall.
