The Third World Piano Conference organized by Isidor Bajić Music School was held in Novi Sad from June 27 to July 3, 2012. Novi Sad thus served as host to a gathering of over one hundred pianists and piano teachers, who gave their contribution to the further advancement of the standards of piano performing and teaching, addressing all aspects of piano performance and piano pedagogy, from beginner level to professional, and forming a strong bond between pianists and piano teachers from all over the world.
The program of the World Piano Conferences was comprised of lectures, recitals, master classes, and seminars, encompassing a diverse set of piano pedagogy related topics as well as those focused on the performance of piano literature masterpieces.Representatives of various piano teacher associations from Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and North and South America took part in the Conference.
Professor Ian Jones from the Royal College of Music, London, gave consultations to candidates interested in attending this school.
The gala opening ceremony was held on June 27, 2011 in the Novi Sad Sinagogue, and included perfomances of piano concertos by Bach, Chopin, and Mozart,featuring Pavle Krstić, Aleksandar Ðermanović, and Iris Kobal as soloists accompanied by the Camerata Academica orchestra under the baton of Aleksandar Kojić.
